Resident Mail

There are no limitations imposed on the amount of first class mail sent or received by a resident.  In order for the resident to successfully receive the letter or package please follow the following instructions:

  • All mail must have a name and return address listed on the letter or package.  Mail sent without a return address will delay delivery to the resident.
  • All mail should be addressed to the resident utilizing the facility's address.  See example.

                              John Smith
                              411 Pine Ave. S.E.
                              Warren, Ohio 44483

NOTE:
  • All incoming mail will be visually inspected for contraband prior to delivery (without opening the mail).
  • No mail will be delivered to the resident or allowed to be mailed by the resident if a no contact order is issued by the courts.
  • If a resident is indigent he/she will be provided postage for two (2) letters a week.  Residents are not considered indigent if they have a minimum of $5.00 in their resident account.
